Extremecarving
ÀͽºÆ®¸²Ä«ºù
Extremecarving consists of linking turns while sliding down a slope. The body is completely laid onto the snow for each turn. The board is able to carve a turn, without skipping or loosing edge control, while it is placed vertically on edge. The riders' entire body brushes the snow on each consecutive turn.

Set up your first turn

Your board is riding on the toe side edge.
The pressure on both boots, toe side, is almost equal.
The rear boot is the dominate pressure point.
Pushing off the rear boot is the foundation for the strong upper body rotation.

Pre-load your upper body rotation.
To pre-load:
- move your rear shoulder towards the tail of the board
- move your front shoulder towards the nose of the board
Your shoulders should be parallel with the tip and tail of the board.
Your head is positioned over your lead shoulder.
Your head and shoulders continue to move in the opposite direction until your neck feels a 'locked' sensation.
You are now in an 'Egyptian' style position, this is a KEY movement.
There is no pause between the backward pre-load and the forward rotation.

Initiate a strong upper body rotation towards the tip of the board.
Rotate until your hips and shoulders are both facing the tip of the board.
As you rotate release the toe side edge pressure from the snow, raise your knees upward.
Roll the base of your board onto the heel side edge.
Your hips are the pivot point (center of gravity) for the edge to edge transition.
Your head will move rapidly towards the snow.
Your feet will move rapidly away from you.
Your body pivots around your waist, your center of gravity is the roll axis.

Standing up is initiated by:
1) a small increase in pressure on the heel side edge
2) bending (pulling) your legs under your body
3) turning your board under your body
4) doing a push up with both hands
